ETHYLENE GENERATORS
Colouring tobacco involves the breaking down of chlorophyll and starch. If the time given to break down chlorophyll is too short, the tobacco will fix green. Ethylene speeds up the enzyme process of breaking down chlorophyll.
Ethylene generators are beneficial in colouring:
a) the lower leaf
b) droughty tobacco
c) tobacco with green shoulders
d) over fertilized tobacco.
Our generators use bulk dispensers, are cost effective, can be adjusted to suit your tobacco style and ultimately increase output!
MISTING SYSTEMS
Tobacco leaves are extremely hygroscopic, i.e. they release their moisture to the surrounding environment if the air is too dry.
By using a high pressure misting system you can keep the relative humidity in your grading shed between 60% & 70%, enabling your tobacco to condition quicker while achieving and maintaining its correct moisture level.
